Hello Everyone,
We will be having out meeting this Friday at 1pm at Habersham Hall in room 101. We will be playing different games from around the world. Please come and join us. It will be alot of fun. In Addition there is Tea and Talk at 2pm also in Habersham Hall room 101.

This Friday we will have our first ISA meeting of the quarter. YAY! We will be meeting in the Habersham Hall Courtyard at 1pm. We will be playing some games. Also if you would like to bring some food from your country that would be great.

In addition ISA will be holding elections on the 19th of April. We welcome anyone to become an officer. If you are interested email me at alwust20@student.scad.edu



Intercultural Student Association Officer Descriptions

President

Primary spokesperson for the club. Lead officer and member meetings.
Create a schedule of events at the beginning of each quarter with adviser and Vice
President. Post quarter schedule to ISA blog. Prepare an outline for each meeting.
Have knowledge of the club’s constitution, bylaws, and procedures. Knowledge of SCAD policy and resources with regards to student clubs. Assign and remind officers of responsibilities and upcoming event dates. Meet with adviser on a regular basis as necessary.

Goals:
Take over treasure responsibilities for this quarter. Initiate officer meetings and assignments to officers. Practice posting quarter schedule to ISA blog.

Vice President

Lead meetings in the absence of the President.
Assume all the powers and duties of the President in the absence of the President. Notify members of club meetings and events through facebook, e-mail, and blog at least
two days in advance. Maintain ISA email.

Goals:
Send out weekly ISA meeting e-mail. Update officer information on blog.
Connect personal e-mail to ISA e-mail to receive notifications.

Secretary

Record and distribute a summary of all officer and member meetings within two days. Produce a monthly report in regards to ICC guidelines.
Take attendance at the beginning of every meeting. Create an interest for culture presentations.

Goals:
Take detail officer meeting summaries and post them in the officer facebook message. Write a description after our upcoming events and post it on facebook and the blog. Take pictures and post if possible.

Treasurer

Prepare the annual budget with the president, vice president, and staff adviser. Regulate incoming and outgoing funds.
Keep a record of the club’s expenses.
Work with the office of student involvement regarding budget allocations, fundraising and the safekeeping of funds.
Recommend fundraising ideas.

Goals:
Send ICC suggestions on club purchases. Brainstorm fundraising ideas.

ICC Representative

Attend all ICC Meetings.
Inform all officers of new opportunities, leadership workshops, and any club changes. Renew club membership at the end of Spring Quarter.

Goals:
Renew Club by end of the quarter
Become familiar with ICC blog: blog.scad.edu/icc.

USF Representative

Attend all USF meetings.
Inform club members of information learned at USF meeting through facebook and blog in a timely manner.Connect with SCAD international students.

Goals:
Create a poster with a description of your roles and contact information to post in
Habersham Hall.
Be introduced to ESL and ISSO Staff.
After next USF meeting post about new information on facebook and blog.

Communications Officer

Creates interest of ISA through campus advertisement.
Prepare event posters a month in advance to submit to ISSO to be printed and then distributed.

Goals:
Create a poster for all upcoming ISA events of each quarter.

ISA Representative

Attend officer and member meeting. Fill in for absent officers.
Assist with events.

Goals:
Learn about SCAD opportunities by joining either clubs’ facebook page or e-mail list. Post about events or savannah happening on ISA facebook.

We won’t be having a ISA meeting this friday. But there will be Tea and Talk at 2pm at Habersham hall rm 101. Also ISSO will have their final planning meeting for International Festival it will be taking place at noon in the habersham Courtyard.
