Les Choristes

For our last ISA for the Winter 2011 quarter, we will be viewing the French film Les Choristes at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 at the Student Center. Come for popcorn and horchata while taking a break from finals to hang with ISA members.

The ISSO and ISA are holding a planning meeting for the 13th annual SCAD International Festival. At the planning meeting, students can learn more about how to organize cultural booths, learn more about the image competition, and discuss the procedures for booth setup and breakdown. The planning meeting is Friday, March 4, noon, in the Habersham Hall courtyard, 235 Habersham St. All SCAD students interested in hosting a cultural booth should plan to attend. A light lunch will be served, along with sodas and Kool-Aid, so don’t miss out!

This Friday, February 25 we will not be having an ISA meeting. Instead, ISA is going to join up with ResLife for MoROCKIN’ (Moroccan?) Night at the Weston Lobby from 3-5 p.m. Come join us for Henna tattoos, food (kabobs, couscous, baklava, etc.) and music with belly-dancing. All of this at no charge other than your presence. Hope to see you there!

Also, if you are interested in becoming an officer for ISA for the 2011-2012 year, feel free to notify any of the current officers at the meetings or email us at isa@scad.edu.

There will be no meeting this Friday, February 18 due to the Entrepreneurial Forum. Instead, we are going to meet Saturday, February 19 night at the Student Center for some casual pool and hanging out. Hopefully you can come out and just come chill with us.

This Friday, February 11, we will be having our ISA meeting at Habersham Hall from 2-3 p.m. One of our members will be presenting about his country of Turkmenistan. Come learn about his culture and intermingle with other ISA members. Hope to see you there!
