SAC Alumni Spotlight: SAC presents a lecture by SCAD alumni Amy Lind and Charles Williams, both award-winning fine artists and entrepreneurs in their field of painting. They will discuss their experiences at SCAD, how they have become successful in their careers and answer student questions. This event is open to all SCAD community members with a valid ID.

SERVE It Up! Join the student-led community service action group SERVE for a full day of activities to help the local community. For more info, please go to the SERVE blog.

Student Club Fair: All students are invited to the Student Club Fair. This event will include information about involvement opportunities, clubs and activities at SCAD. Find out what club is right for you.

Movie Under the Stars: Join SAC for an outdoor screening of the documentary, “Waste Land”. The film follows renowned New York artist Vik Moniz to the world’s largest garbage dump in Brazil, where he works with “pickers” of recyclable materials to create art to help the people of the community. Bring your blankets.

The Student Activities Council presents SCAD Alumnus Steven Peterman, co-founder of the Sketchbook Project. Steven Peterman will discuss his SCAD experience, how it helped shape his career, and the founding of the Sketchbook Project. The Sketchbook Project’s mobile library will be at the event. This event is free for students, alumni, faculty, and staff with SCAD ID.

It’s an new year and a great opportunity to challenge yourself. Interested in checking out a club, working on a community service project or enhancing your leadership skills? We would love to help you further challenge yourself and strengthen your resume.

We hope that you will take some time to look over the many opportunities to get involved at SCAD that are sponsored by the office of student involvement.
We work with Student Activities Council, SERVE, United Student Forum and over 90 clubs and organizations to bring you a diverse choice of involvement opportunities at SCAD. This is a great place to explore options for contributing to your in class education or for exploring new passions and making friends who share your interests.
So, take a minute to look around. If, for any reason, you don’t find what you are looking for or would like to create a club for an interest that is not yet covered, please give us a call: 912.525.4400.
