ARTICLE I- NAME
Industrial Design Society of America- Savannah College of Art and Design Student Chapter

ARTICE II- PURPOSE
To increase the visibility of the ID Department within our local community and on a national level.  Aim to create an environment that promotes academic and professional growth.

ARTICLE III- MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any student enrolled at SCAD.
Students may join at any time during their enrollment at SCAD.
Only student members have the right to vote or hold office.
No person shall be denied membership on the grounds of race, religion, creed, gender, national origin, disability, or age, be excluded from participation, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discriminate as define by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

ARTICLE IV- OFFICERS AND DUTIES
The President- Will direct the clubs activities, contact professional officers and national officers, organize presentations on Engineering, Graphic Design, Business, and Human Factors, and choose visiting speakers and organize social events.

Vice President- responsible for assisting the President in directing club activities and responsible for planning events, networking and the annual party.

The Secretary- responsible for recording the minutes of each meeting, locating relevant design web sites, and monitoring department web site.

The Treasurer- responsible for managing of funds, coordination of fundraising, and providing information on relevant student discounts and scholarships.

ARTICLE V- ELECTION AND TERMS
Officers are elected via nomination and voting by the SCAD student chapter members.
Officers must be enrolled in the ID program at SCAD
Officers are elected for a period of one academic year and hold office for one year, beginning in the fall.
New elections are to be held at the end of each spring quarter.
The faculty/staff advisor will be appointed by the ID department chair for a period of one year.

ARTICLE VI- MEETINGS
Meetings will be held every two weeks throughout the academic year.  The date, time, and location of each meeting will be posted in advance and members will be informed via in class announcements, at least one week in advance, of upcoming meetings and events.

ARTICLE VII- COMMITTEES
Internal Affairs- annual show, speakers, and social events
Competitions- what competitions are currently running
Public Relations and Oversight- management of student chapter web page
Graphic Design- t-shirts, tickets, news letter, bulletin board
Education- tutorials in computer programs, rendering techniques, etc.
Employment- locate current job listings, portfolio

Officers will be assigned to each committee however each committee will be managed by a student chapter member.
Each committee manager will be appointed by the members of that committee.
Each committee will be of two or more people.
Committees will schedule their own committee meetings and meet as often as they see fit.
Committee leaders must present a status report at the beginning of each student chapter meeting.
Committee members must carry out their duties for the duration of their assigned goals and projects.
