SCAD Humans Vs Zombies

Food for Thought

Game Changers from SCAD HvZ of Yore!

Did you know…
-In SCAD’s first HvZ, the most advanced blaster was the Vulcan. Human survival rates took a dramatic leap the next year when Nerf introduced the Raider’s rapid fire capabilities and 35-dart drum.
-The first Human to survive HvZ, and sole survivor of HvZ 2009′s Final Stand was a shoe designer using only a bag full of socks.
-So far, the OZ’s have been 50% boys and 50% girls. Their majors have ranged from Animation to Industrial Design, and their classes have ranged from freshman to senior.
-The zombie rallying cry “What do we want? BRAINS! When do we want ‘em? BRAINS!!!” was first shouted under Elizabeth’s reign as OZ in HvZ 2009.
-The first SCAD HvZ instructional video was made in a shed. (With a box of scraps!)
-Team Scientist (2009-2011) is remembered as everyone’s favorite Resistance group for their good sportsmanship, ability to get things done, and for those snazzy lab coats.
-In HvZ 2009, under Queen Elizabeth’s rule, her zombie generals were given gold stars to signify their leadership roles. Zombie lieutenants were picked by the generals and given silver stars.
-HvZ 2009′s elusive “Ninja Zombie” was famed for his camo suit and astonishing speed. The next year, he played without the suit, and nobody recognized him.
-Classes were introduced in HvZ 2010, and included The Witch, Medic, and Radio Operator, who had the ability to summon The Mod Squad for a mission.
-In HvZ 2010, JT Hastings (OZ, Man-Witch, Zombie King) had paint licked off his chest by a human player, in a desperate attempt to distract him from assassinating a key Resistance NPC. This prompted the creation of rule #2: No Licking.
-HvZ 2010′s infamous “fake mission” (A.k.a. the Turner Bridge Massacre)  not only led to massive Resistance casualties, complaints, apologies, and rage quits, but royally ticked off the moderators. For the first time, the game’s future was in jeopardy.
-HvZ 2011′s class system became more elaborate, introducing the Meat Shield, Berserker, Hunter, and Engineer. The “Wolf Pack” was also created to extend the presence of moderation during gameplay.
-In HvZ 2011, Zombie King Jason spread rumors of a different zombie being the OZ, leaving him free to make his kills. That is, until he was correctly identified by The Resistance.
