Classes are back in session and all of the students back — now it really feels like a new year. Faculty are gearing up for a busy quarter — not the least of which is making preparations for the US/ICOMOS International Symposium being hosted by the College this coming May.
In December, department chair Jeff Eley attended the ICOMOS Gala in Washington, D.C., celebrating the 40th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention. Notable attendees included Irina Bokova, the Director-General of UNESCO, who addressed the group with a message for heritage conservation for the 21st century.
