Cap and Gown Ordering
If you plan to participate in the June 2013 commencement ceremony you may order your graduation regalia online at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation. A local customer representative can be contacted by calling 912-764-9314.
The cost of the cap and gown is $80.00 (not including shipping and tax). Graduation announcements are also available for purchase online. If you are interested in a college ring, they are also available for purchase online at www.herffjones.com/college/rings
The deadline to order a cap and gown without incurring a late fee is April 16, 2013.
The last day for online orders is April 16, 2013. After April 16, late charges will be added. Phone orders are accepted up to May 10th. Students are responsible for paying late charges on all cap and gown orders after the deadline.

Ceremony Participation
SCAD Atlanta campus will only have one commencement each year at the end of spring quarter. Any student planning to participate in a commencement ceremony must complete an online graduation application through MySCAD and receive approval from the graduation auditor for your school/major. Deadlines for anticipated graduating terms are:
1. Fall 2012……………..June 1, 2012
2. Winter 2013………..January 11, 2013
3. Spring 2013…………March 29, 2013
4. Summer 2013……..June 29, 2013
You should complete the application two quarters prior to the completion of your degree requirements. Students must email their graduation auditor (see Contact Information) in order to change ceremony participation status if they indicated “undecided” on their graduation application.
If you change your mind about whether or not you will participate, an email to your graduation auditor is required and it must be sent from your SCAD student email account.
Students who complete all degree requirements during fall 2012, winter 2013, spring 2013 and summer 2013 will participate in the spring commencement ceremony. Students who complete all degree requirements fall 2013 will participate in the spring 2014 commencement ceremony.

Graduation Information Meeting – Friday April 12, 2013 at 1 pm- Room 256
Commencement Participation Meeting – Friday May 10, 2013 at 1 pm- HUB (This meeting is for students participating in Commencement)
Mandatory Commencement Rehearsal – Friday, May 31, 2013 at 4 pm- Georgia World Congress Center Building C Room 304 (Student transportation will be provided)
Tickets
- Each graduating student participating in the 2013 ceremony will receive six tickets for guest.
- Graduates must have their graduation application and all graduation requirements completed to pick up Commencement 2013 tickets.
- Tickets are available for students to pick up from SCAD Atlanta, Student Success Center from May 21- May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Tickets are required to attend the commencement ceremony.
- Tickets will only be provided to students participating in the ceremony.

Special Seating
Please email the Events Department at atlrsvp@scad.edu for disability seating request for family members. A special seating ticket is needed to sit in the designated area. Any special seating tickets requested will be included in the total number of commencement 2013 tickets provided.
Please include your name, SCAD ID number and the number of special seating tickets. All special seating requests must be submitted by Friday May 3, 2013.
Parking and MARTA for Georgia World Congress Center
Parking is available at either the Gold parking Deck or the Blue Lot. Both parking areas are accessible via Northside Drive. Parking cost is approximately $8-10.
The Georgia World Congress Center is MARTA accessible when you use the Vine City Station. For more information about MARTA, visit itsmarta.com
Guest Shuttle
Free shuttle service is offered between SCAD Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center for Commencement.
Shuttle service will began at 3pm from SCAD Atlanta. The shuttles will make continuous trips from SCAD Atlanta to the Georgia World Congress Center during and after the ceremony.
