Sound Map
For this project we had to sit in one spot for an hour and record all the sounds we heard and where they came from. To my surprise, I rarely put down my pen. There is always ambiance whether we realize it or not. The composition could take any form we wanted so I created a basic map of the bottom floor of Anderson Hall, where I was located. I wrote the most reoccurring sounds in the largest font and decreased the size for the sounds that were heard less often.
This is one of my preliminary sketches from the brainstorming process.
