At our last meeting, we discussed a major upcoming project for Winter quarter: an exhibition of student work with the theme of “dream.” Any form of artwork will be excepted i.e. garments, accessories, photography, painting. We ask that you begin working on the projects over winter quarter and have enough progress to show at the first meeting of the quarter. We are looking for completed work soon after this.

The next FH meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Eckburg Room 203.

We will be screening the film Seamless. The movie follows partcipants of the CFDA/Vogue Fund competion. After the film, there will be a discussion about the movie and any member ideas or questions about the club and/or magazine.

A reminder: Bring any street style forms, model call forms, magazine applications, or garments to be used in the magazine. And most of all: Bring your thoughts and ideas!

If you’re a little unsure how to take pictures for the street style feature, I recommend referencing the best: The Sartorialist (http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/). I continually reference his page for inspiration. His images are beautifully taken, and he has an eye for unique looks. A few tips to remember when taking your pictures:

• Get a head to toe shot
• Fill the frame with the figure
• Think about your background–don’t let it distract from the outfit
• Get the subject in action (like the photo above–no blurry shots, please) or simply ask them to casually pose for you.

Remember to email your shots to fashionhaus@scad.edu and have the photo release form and caption questions attached or ready to be given to an officer. IT’S CRUCIAL TO HAVE THESE FORMS!
