INTERNSHIP \ CO OP OPPORTUNITIES – Chico’s
10 week Paid Internship at Chico’s FAS, Inc.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This internship provides the ability to apply formal course
work studies into a career setting and gain an understanding of
the roles of retail professionals, with a specific emphasis on
internal auditing and internal controls. It will afford the
right candidate the opportunity to gain an understanding of how
various areas of the business work, apply critical, strategic
and creative thinking to improve business operations, and
interact with key leaders across accounting, finance,
technology and other areas of the business. Internal Audit
often serves as a springboard for talent to move into various
areas of the business, including accounting. It is viewed as an
opportunity to get a head start due to the ability to gain a
more holistic view of the organization while ensuring an
understanding of the need for solid internal controls. Start
developing the skills you will need when you graduate now!
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be exposed to the total business process and procedures
• Gain an understanding of the roles of retail professionals in
accounting and other business areas
• Assist with special projects as assigned(Sarbanes-Oxley
testing, business process audits, annual risk assessment,
etc.)
COMPENTENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Interest in pursuing a career in accounting, finance or audit
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office and Excel
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
