Although I have never previously heard it referred to as flow, I simply think of this state as my “Zen” phase. I find this meshes well with my current design methodology in that after I have assessed the client needs, done the visual, qualitative, and quantitative research then I am ready to start brainstorming. Thesis Statement: Take 1 (and 2 and 3….)
[1] This thesis will examine the opportunities for cultural awareness and accelerated research in visual communications by ‘flattening’ the graphic design process through integrated global collaboration in the form of an collaborative group wiki and supporting social network that join multicultural and multidisciplinary audiences and resources.

Wow!! I have to admit, I have taken the time to read at least another two dozen peer reviewed articles. I have spanned everything from designer thinking, to slow design, to education and curricula within the higher education (undergrad and grad) for graphic design. I have found my niche!
