It does give us ample time time to recover from the last few weeks of frenzied studying and book returns. For those of you who are graduating I applaud you on your accomplishments. For the rest of you, I hope to see you next Fall or this Summer. Remember we are on the second floor and are always happy to help you with your library needs. Enjoy your summer folks, get some sun for us!

This is was an inscription on the walls of a monastery in Barcelona. I don’t think we’ll be posting this one on the walls of Jen Library.
Curse Against Book Stealers
Monastery of San Pedro, Barcelona
For him that stealeth a Book from this Library,
let it change into a serpent in his hand and rend him.
Let him be struck with Palsy, and all his Members blasted.
Let him languish in Pain crying aloud for Mercy and let there be no sur-cease to his Agony till he sink in Dissolution. Let Bookworms gnaw his Entrails in token of the Worm that dieth not,and when at last he goeth to his final Punishment, let the flames of Hell consume him for ever and aye.
