Each SCAD Blackboard Learn course contains a link to a discussion forum. Online discussion forums are one of the most commonly used tools in online teaching. The discussion forum in Blackboard Learn allows members of the course to communicate with one another while not requiring all members to be online at the same time. This can be an engaging tool to use to encourage students to continue to participate in a course outside of traditional meeting times.
