SCAD Connect

SCAD Connect provides faculty, staff and students access to a dynamic web conferencing, meeting, collaboration and virtual critique tool. The SCAD Connect online meeting and collaboration application provides a web space for faculty to host online course and/or project meetings. Professors will find that SCAD Connect can support a range of teaching applications including project critiques or concept demonstrations and many other instructional activities that can be shared or accessed by a single course or to collaborate across several sections of a course. Participants can communicate using a webcam, microphone, and the text chat area. Faculty may also elect to host mini seminars with guest speakers from anywhere in the world via SCAD Connect.

Access and use: A link for SCAD Connect tutorials is available through the workspace tab in MySCAD. Faculty may attend sessions and participate via SCAD Connect without any special training or user status.  In order to gain account status that allows creation of SCAD Connect meeting and collaboration spaces completion of training is required.  Contact the training coordinator at training@scad.edu for more information.
