We’ve Come a Long Way, Baby

Category: Performances

Tough to believe that a little over a year ago, The SCAD Drumline consisted of a bunch of binders and a couple rubber practice pads.  Tomorrow, we play at SCAD Fall Fest for the second year in a row.  Way back in 2009, this was the line’s first gig ever, so happy anniversary to us!

SCAD Fall Fest
Saturday, September 18, 2010
4-7pm at Dyson Field

Be sure to check out Magazine Avenue as well!  Our snare boy Chuck is their drummer.

QEP Project, Atlanta, and more!

Category: Uncategorized

The last couple weeks have started to pick up for the Drumline!  The guys spent some time last weekend rehearsing and performing as part of the SCAD QEP Project here in Savannah.  Here is the result of the Savannah QEP.

Chuck and Charlie were fortunate enough to get a spot on the medicine balls for this performance, with Cris Dykeman in a hoola hoop!  The rest of the guys came in to help spell out ‘SCAD QEP’ for an aerial shot at the end.

After the QEP Project last weekend in Savannah, we headed up to Atlanta yesterday to help kick off their part of the project with a performance that included the Dean of Students, Art Malloy.  Click to view the SCAD Atlanta QEP Rally.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Women’s LAX team as they started their season last weekend with two major wins!  The ladies ended with a 20-3 win over Erskine College and took on Methodist University for a 23-6 win.

Come out to the athletic fields TONIGHT at 8pm to support the Men’s LAX team as they play their first home game of the season against Coastal Carolina University!

Upcoming Events:

Sunday 2/28 – 10am, Men’s LAX against The Citadel

1pm, Women’s LAX against St. Vincent College
