Sham Shui Po

Sham Shui Po is one of the oldest districts in Hong Kong. It is commonly referred to as a lower-class district, filled with many street vendors selling old junk and things that no one really wants. However, if you look close enough, you can find the gems in this often overlooked neighborhood. Sham Shui Po is one of my favorite places to spend my days in Hong Kong. The people and the scenery are unlike anything else you will find in Hong Kong. SSP is also a place that many tourists tend to avoid, so if you are looking for a chance to break away from westerners, this is the place for you. SCAD Hong Kong is also located in this district. I feel that the school helps the economy thrive and allows vendors and shops to stay open in this ever changing economy.
