2013 Summer Intern Program
TracyLocke is looking for advertising and marketing students with great communication skills, a desire to learn, leadership qualities and professionalism, and above all, a passion for advertising.
Program Highlights
- Agency-Wide Exposure
– Half day each week will be dedicated to immersing the interns in a different aspect of agency life including Creative, Print Production, Broadcast Production, Art Production, Planning, New Business, Media and Account Management.
- Department/Team Assignments
– Each intern will work individually within an assigned department/group
- To be exposed in more depth to a section of the agency they have interest in
- To become a part of that team over the course of the summer
- To add value to departments/teams
- Project Management Shadowing
– Additionally, each intern will spend one day shadowing a PM to see how the different components of the agency all fit together in the real world.
- Intern Project
– The final two weeks of the program will be largely dedicated to working on an in-depth real-world assignment together
– Present to Leadership Team, Mentors and potentially clients
- Mentor Program
– Each intern will be assigned a mentor from the department they are working in where possible.

Zeds are not college interns, curious about the industry; rather, they are aspiring professionals looking to leverage their skills in real work experience. Minority Education & Training Fund
We are excited to invite students at your school to apply for the Allen Rosenshine Minority Education & Training (MET) Fund. This fund awards internships to minorities, women and individuals protected under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act to encourage the pursuit of careers in advertising.
There have been over 200 MET Fund recipients since the program’s inception in 2000. At this time, we are accepting applications for internships for the summer of 2013. Interns receive a stipend in the amount of $4,000 for the 10-week internship.
To be eligible, students must have the application form and accompanying materials completed and received in our offices by March 8, 2013.

Sony Pictures Imageworks Presentation

Attend this presentation by Ken Maruyama, vice president of recruiting and academic relations, from Sony Pictures Imageworks, the Academy Award® winning visual effects and animation unit of Sony Pictures Digital Productions, known for live-action visual effects and character animation, all-CG animation, and stereoscopic 3D imagery. Maruyama will be sharing what Imageworks looks for in recruiting talent in: story, visual development, animation and lighting. He oversees the management of Imageworks’ recruiting efforts in sourcing, attracting, assessing and hiring the talent needed to work on highly regarded films as The Amazing Spiderman™, Hotel Transylvania and Oz: The Great and Powerful. Maruyama also guides the Academic Relations program, key components of which are internships, fellowships and scholarships to help better prepare graduates for potential employment at both Imageworks and the industry at large.
