A Cultural and Academic Preparation Program for New Students

Congratulations on your decision to attend SCAD, the university for creative careers. Here you will join more than 11,000 students from all over the world who are pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide range of art and design disciplines.

As a new international student, you may want to get an early start on making your new home away from home in the United States and at SCAD. The university provides an informative and exciting way to do this through International CAPP, a pre-orientation summer program just for international students. The CAPP program offers English as a Second Language instruction, as well as themed coursework providing an introduction to life in the United States, Savannah, and especially SCAD!

At the end of the program, you’ll be better prepared for the ESL placement test during fall orientation and, because you’re already familiar with SCAD and the surrounding communities, you’ll be ready to focus on beginning your journey toward a creative career.
