Due to recent changes in Georgia law that took effect July 1, 2012, driver’s license and state ID applicants are required to present two proofs of residence in Georgia in addition to all other required materials.
In preparation for the trip to the Department of Driver’s Services tomorrow, August 24, students need to contact their bank representative to request their second proof of residence.
Bank of America customers should call or visit William Park to request proof of residence:
22 Bull Street
Wells Fargo customers should call or visit John Ignac to request proof of residence:
136 Bull Street
For tomorrow’s trip to the DDS students should gather and bring the following documents:
- I-94 Card
- SCAD Housing License
- Bank Letter with Proof of Residents (Students who request these letters from their bank representatives today, will have their letters picked up by ISSO staff from the bank by tomorrow morning.)
- Social Security Denial Letter (Students who have not had a chance to obtain this letter will be transported to the Social Security Administrative Office in route to the DDS.)
Students who plan to take the written exam tomorrow can prepare for the test using the following online manual: GA Driver’s Test Manual
More information about the DDS, driver’s test, state ID, etc. can be found on the DDS website
