How to Tag a Phone December 13, 2007

Here is how to tag a Nortel phone.

  1. Double click the service button on the phone and a menu pops up with Network Configuration as option 3.
  2. Choose option 3.
  3. Using the right arrow and go down to Voice Vlan.
  4. Hit the middle button on the arrow key keypad (enter) and a drop down menu appears.
  5. Select Enter VLAN ID and type in 114 and hit enter.
  6. Right arrow down to DataVlan.
  7. Hit the middle button on the arrow key keypad (enter) and a drop down menu appears.
  8. Select Enter VLAN ID and type in the correct data vlan and hit enter.
  9. Right arrow down to PC-Port Untag All and check the box.
  10. Now just click Apply&Reset which should be the top silver bottom on the left and the phone will reboot.
  11. After the reboot you now have a working phone that also has a working data port on the back of it.
