In conjunction with the sculpture department, interior design is happy to announce we now have a laser cutter for student use. Given the delicacy of the equipment and skill required to use it, there is a specific method in place for students to utilize this equipment. SCAD staff and work-study employees will actually operate the equipment.
The Atlanta Shop Resources link in mySCAD now has a “Sculpture Prints” page that will provide everyone with the information that they need to have materials cut on Epilog laser cutter. To access this information go to mySCAD> Resources> Atlanta Shop Resources(under Department Directory)> Sculpture Print Labs. This page contains General information, Information/Requirements document, Consent Form, Illustrator and Rhino Templates.
Every Friday during the quarter, beginning January 25th, SCAD will offer Laser cutter orientation at 10:00 am in the Sculpture Facility.
