INDS 209 had a great field trip to the Daltile west-Atlanta showroom last week on 10/17! Students were able to acquire samples for use in the Daltile/ASID $10,000 competition. Students in the materials classes, (with professors Sweny and Culpepper) are submitting entries for scholarship awards as part of a 209 class assignment.
Besides gathering knowledge on new tiles and materials, students toured the stone warehouse and the Mohawk carpet space
Student Erica Pearson got an intern-job out of it! During the visit, she learned about a job opening at the showroom. She applied for the position, interviewed and was hired two days later! You never know where your field trips will take you!
