Atlanta Equipment Checkout’s blog

SCAD Atlanta’s Equipment Checkout service has a variety of audio and video equipment available for student, staff and faculty use.  Most of our available items come specifically bundled into kits including additional items.  Video cameras, for instance, will include a carrying case, the camera itself, a lens cap, various cables and a battery charger.

In order to maintain our inventory, each item in a kit is listed on a checkout and must be confirmed as present by a checkout worker.  We invite patrons to visually inspect kits themselves prior to checkout as well.  Any component not returned with a kit will result in a fine.

For this reason, any item which is a part of a kit cannot be checked out individually.  Even if you only need the FireWire cable from a video camera, you’ll still need to checkout the whole camera.
