Why did you choose SCAD? When I began the process of transferring to a four year institution I looked at four things at each university I considered: the relativity of the majors offered there compared to my own interests, the skills demonstrated by student and faculty work, the location, and how amiable and personable both the students and faculty were. Upon my first visit during one of the many SCAD days, I was pleased to discover SCAD had it all! Top notch facilities, talented and dedicated students and faculty in visual effects, wonderful weather all year around, and a great group of admissions staff and student ambassadors! All in all, I can say with honesty that I was won over by the end of that SCAD day!

Why are you an Ambassador? I applied to become an ambassador the first quarter I arrived at SCAD in order to offer inquisitive prospective students (just as I was at one point), the warm welcome I received and answers to quite a few of the same questions that I had when I visited. I would be remiss though not to mention that becoming an ambassador opened up many more possibilities and further linked me into the SCAD community. I have continued to make new friends and network with students from the numerous areas of study that are offered here, learn more about the university and its history, and just be able to discover many events and volunteer opportunities that can compliment my experience while studying here.
I am somewhere I love, learning and doing something I love while collaborating with interested people I love. I would be crazy not to find an outlet to share that. Thankfully, as an ambassador, that is exactly what I do!
