Why did you choose SCAD? SCAD was one of a few art schools I applied to, it was also one of my top choices. I learned of this university’s excellent reputation when a SCAD Representative came to my high school during my Junior year; I looked further into this school and decided to apply during the beginning of my Senior year. When I visited SCAD in April I knew that this was the place I wanted to be, I could not wait to graduate high school and be here. I absolutely love everything about SCAD; ever since I moved in during the beginning of the first quarter my adoration for both the school and Savannah has been growing consistently. After being here for nearly one academic year all of my high expectations have been met or even surpassed. I am very thankful and fortunate to be here at SCAD, I definitely feel that this is the perfect college for me and I feel like it’s my home.
Why are you an Ambassador? During my visit to the Savannah College of Art and Design for Accepted Students Day last April I received a great deal of information concerning SCAD from Student Ambassadors. In fact, it is because of said ambassadors that I finalized my decision to attend SCAD. They provided me with the answers to the many questions I had about resident life, academic courses, and Savannah itself. Besides this, their clear devotion and love for this wonderful university spoke volumes. Needless to say I felt inspired and decided to apply and become a Student Ambassador. I feel that being a Student Ambassador will present me with numerous opportunities to actively participate in the SCAD community and inspire prospective students, just as I was one year ago.
