Dana Thomas is a Paris-based fashion and culture journalist and is a contributing editor for the Wall Street Journal’s monthly magazine. She served as the European editor of Conde Nast Portfolio from 2008-09, was European cultural and fashion correspondent for Newsweek in Paris from 1995-2008, and contributed to various publications including The New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times in London and Australian Harper’s Bazaar. She also writes regularly for Architectural Digest and ELLE Decor. Penguin Press published her New York Times bestselling book, “Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster,” in 2007.
