Giving important messages new voice through the art and design of Video Games

About Me

I am an Artist. I am a Designer.  Art poses questions. Design solves problems. In my design, I strive to expose people to problems and questions that may not be apparent to them, or from which they hide, and through the same experience suggest solutions to these issues.  By designing video games and interactive experiences, I am able to easily scale the obstacles before my messages that others might find daunting.  We live in a digital age, where digital interactivity is a daily reality.  Through my design philosophy I will permeate the video game industry with games that have a voice, and that also play better than the competition.  By combining strong, tested game design principles and models with positive and informative research-backed themes, I will redefine the interactive experience.

My name is Tap.

It’s actually my initials, short for Thomas Alexander Pribbenow.  As a short bio I am currently a student at SCAD Hong Kong, however most of my college career has been spent in Savannah.  I have produced a number of non-digital games, as well as a Global Game Jam digital game back in 2012.  I have experience working in Unity, the Unreal Engine, GameSalad, and am always picking up new tools here and there.

This site is meant to show case my work, as well as be a place to store my thoughts and ideas as my Design philosophy develops.
