Architecture has always stood out as the perfect career path for me. It was at the age of nine that I truly understood what architecture was. Travelling to many countries has allowed me to experience a variety of different cultures, along with some of the most historic and outstanding pieces of architecture. This exposure has reinforced my decision for selecting it as a field of study. I have always been fascinated by different cultures and the architecture of the many countries I visited. My mother, who is an architect herself, has influenced the way I perceive architecture as an art form. This is one of the main reasons why I have chosen to pursue my education in this field.

My name is Khaled Nahas, and I’m from Saudi Arabia. Beside Architecture, soccer is my passion since I was kid. Sports have contributed a great deal in shaping my personality. I developed sportsmanship, team work, and cooperation through sports. Most importantly, I learned the skills of commitment and leadership.  

The pedagogical facilities and student oriented atmosphere in SCAD offers are most suitable for enhancing my academic profile. I am confident that SCAD with its solid and rich program will help me fulfill my inclinations of becoming a successful architect. I have great plans to make a difference in my home country Saudi Arabia, and to introduce a whole new level of architectural innovations and new perspective I’m sure to gain through a fruitful experience at SCAD.
