The SCAD Performing Arts Department Showcase 2012 is Friday, March 16 in Atlanta, Georgia, and Monday, March 19 in New York City. Alumni are invited to attend and meet current SCAD performing arts students.

The Atlanta Showcase presents 14 actors in 50 minutes.

The office for career and alumni success at SCAD invites you to step inside the offices of Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, March 7. Creative recruiter Lauren Ranke will lead a tour beginning at 5:30 p.m. Meet industry and alumni outreach manager Stacy Aldrich in the lobby at 5:15 p.m. Appetizers will be provided by SCAD immediately after the tour at nearby Henry’s Tavern.

Join the Denver SCAD Alumni Group for the Saturday Art Hop Feb. 11 to see a Salvador Dali exhibit, a Robert Mangold retrospective and the opening of an exhibit by Georgia Landman (B.F.A., photography, 2010). Join the group for one, two or all three events. The perfect trifecta for a Saturday! All events are free, but bring some spending money for snacks and drinks along the way. Called “One of the Best Rooftop Bars” by ABC News, ROOF is located on the 27th floor of theWit Hotel, the newest downtown Chicago boutique hotel located on historic State Street in the heart of the revitalized theater and Loop business districts. The evening will be hosted by SCAD industry and alumni outreach manager Sallyanne Oettinger and senior admission representative Katherine Lelek.

Join the SCAD Denver Alumni Group at Artists Speak!, a program during the “Street Cred: Graffiti Art from Concrete to Canvas” exhibit, Jan. 12, 7-9 p.m. at the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center, 400 Quail Rd., Longmont, Colorado. Spend the evening exploring what it’s like to be a graffiti writer. Interact with the artists in this panel discussion and learn the difference between tags, throw-ups and pieces and get a chance to view the “Street Cred” exhibit.
