Entries are being accepted for the The Great River Film Festival taking place Spring 2010 in Granville, Ohio on the campus of Denison University. There is no cost to enter and you have until Nov. 2 to submit your short films, 22 minutes or less, completed after Jan. 1, 2006.
Lifeblob.com is running a photography contest called Lifeblob “Life is Fun”.The contest is free and the deadline to enter is Oct. 15.
Calling SCAD alumni artists. You’re invited to submit artwork for The polyART Show: A Silent Auction hosted by the SCAD Atlanta Alumni Chapter. This small works show and auction will uniquely display your piece for two weeks in an 8 ½” x 11” poly bag at P’cheen—a popular Inman Park Restaurant. A celebratory cocktail reception takes place Thursday, Nov. 5; the closing silent auction is Saturday, Nov. 14.
The deadline for submissions is Oct. 29. To participate, simply submit any piece that will fit into an 8 ½ ” x 11” plastic bag (photo, painting, print, jewelry) to:

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the SCAD Alumni Scholarship Fund to assist talented art and design students with financial support to continue or complete their education.

SCAD exhibitions invites SCAD students, faculty, alumni and staff to send submissions for the Small Works 2009 juried exhibition. Work must measure 18 inches or less in all directions, including the frame, if applicable. All work must be for sale, and the artist’s price may not exceed $250. There is no limit to the number of entries an artist may submit; a small, concise body of work is encouraged. Deadline for submissions is Oct. 14. To submit work for consideration, e-mail completed entries to callforentries@scad.edu using “Small Works 2009” in the subject line. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Limit your attachment size to 4MB. Entries should include the following:
