Edwardo “Ed” Mendez (M.F.A., computer art, 2004) has been awarded an Emmy for his work on “John Adams“, the mini-series on HBO. His Emmy is for the category of “Outstanding Special Effects for a Miniseries, Movie or Special”. The 2008 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will air this Saturday, Sept. 20 at 8:00 p.m. on E!

Fischer, award-winning photographer and Savannah College of Art and Design chief academic officer, explores the paradigm of love and ruin in his new limited edition book “Paradise/Paradox,” a collection of more than 60 photographs of places that are revered for their perfection of form, historic cultural landscapes, and views of paradise lost, as well as essays regarding these places.

Jennifer Tripp (B.F.A., photography, 2004) would like to announce the launch of Magnum Workshop New York at MILK Studios October 20-31. This is a five day intensive, practice oriented workshop that seeks to provide personal photographic growth in an intimate and intensive environment. Each of the 4 five-day workshops will be led by an accomplished Magnum Photographer, each with their own distinctive style and approach to photography.
