Former SCAD pitcher to start against Sand Gnats
Former SCAD pitcher Richard Sullivan is scheduled to start against the Savannah Sand Gnats this Friday at Grayson Stadium. Sullivan currently pitches for the Rome Braves. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. Sullivan is the second SCAD player drafted in the program’s history. The other was Sullivan’s teammate in 2007, pitcher Ryan Pope, who was a third-round pick to the New York Yankees. A third former SCAD Bee, Charlie Zink, signed as a free agent with the Boston Red Sox in 2002 and currently pitches for the organization’s Triple A affiliate. Read more.
