Former SCAD pitcher to start against Sand Gnats

Former SCAD pitcher Richard Sullivan is scheduled to start against the Savannah Sand Gnats this Friday at Grayson Stadium. Sullivan currently pitches for the Rome Braves. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. Sullivan is the second SCAD player drafted in the program’s history. The other was Sullivan’s teammate in 2007, pitcher Ryan Pope, who was a third-round pick to the New York Yankees. A third former SCAD Bee, Charlie Zink, signed as a free agent with the Boston Red Sox in 2002 and currently pitches for the organization’s Triple A affiliate. Read more.

square product theatre presents HUFFS

Emily Harrison (M.F.A., performing arts, 2004) and Charlotte Munn (B.F.A., performing arts, 2006) are founding members of square product theatre of Boulder, Colo. The mission of square product theatre is to create and collaborate on original, honest and innovative works of theatre and performance with local and national artists. As part of the 2008 Boulder International Fringe Festival, spt presents the regional premiere of HUFFS, an acclaimed solo show written and performed by Kelsie Huffs and directed by Jason Madeja. Alumna to compete in Olympics

Cheryl Haworth (B.F.A., historic preservation, 2006) is competing in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. There are two events planned to support Cheryl and her Olympic pursuit. Alumni are encouraged to come out and show their support for Cheryl.

Join fellow Savannah community members at a breakfast celebration to watch Cheryl Haworth in the Olympics.
Date: Saturday, August 16, 2008 7-9 a.m.

Location: Aldersgate United Methodist Fellowship Hall, 2021 Tennessee Ave., Savannah, Ga.
Suggested donation: $5 per person or $10 per family for breakfast.
