The Student Activities Council
The Student Activities Council is the student programming board of the Savannah College of Art & Design. The organization exists in order to plan and execute both educational and recreational events on campus. Through various activities, the council strives to foster a sense of community among the student body and aims to heighten the college experience for SCAD students. SAC encourages the celebration of a diverse student population through collaborative events and supports the cultural development of the local communities by reaching out beyond SCAD. SAC promotes student leadership and involvement through general membership as well as opportunities on the executive board. The Student Activities Council is affiliated with the National Association for Campus Activities, and council members attend conferences sponsored by that organization.
If you are interested in getting more involved, we encourage everyone to attend weekly SAC meetings, which take place on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Student Center. Meetings are casual, and anyone can join at anytime during the quarter! We further encourage existing SAC members to apply for executive positions on the board, as leadership applications will be distributed at the beginning of the Winter quarter.
Hello S.A.C.
The 3D Brave screening you guys just put on was fantastic! It is always a pleasure to go to those events at the Trustees Theater. Have you folks ever considered doing a weekly movie night or perhaps bi-weekly? I’m sure there would be plenty of logistics involved but it seems like it would be immensely popular. What are your thoughts on the matter?
Thanks,
Steve
