The Fall Quarter is coming to a close!!! November 5, 2009
Posted by activity in : Hot Spot , add a commentWe are falling out of Fall and the Student Activities Council is hosting their final offical event of 2009 next Wednesday at 9:00 PM in the Student Center. All students are encouraged to attend and enjoy the marvelous musical stylings of Jonathan McQuitty and indulge in salivating ice cream sundaes! It is true that the best things in life are free, like live music and delicious desserts provided by SAC!
The last SAC General Member meeting will commence next Tuesday night, at 9:00 PM on the second floor of the Student Center. We will be reflecting upon the organization and all Fall events as well as officially announcing the Winter Quarter Calendar. The executive board will then host the traditional Student Activities Council BINGO Game, where general members will be tested upon their SAC knowledge! Before we bid our farewells, two General Members of the Quarter will be recognized for their outstanding dedication and participation in the council. This is a meeting that SAC members do not want to miss, and as always, everyone is welcome!
Overall, Fall has proved to be a tremendous success, yielding a plethora of well attended and greatly enjoyed activities. Highlights of this quarter include; the entertaining hypnosis show, performed by Tom Deluca, the inspiring and educational lecture, delivered by Marc Brown, and the very chaotic Masquerade Ball, marked by an amassment of creative costumes. SAC would like to extend an immense thanks to all of its general members for their contribution to the organization as well as to the entire student body, for their entensive participation and enthusiasm in our events. We hope that next quarter is just as successful as the Fall and we welcome everyone to get more involved in our events and meetings so that you can have your voice heard.
We wish you the best during this hectic time of finals and would like to remind everyone to eat, sleep and stay positive! Moreover, following this final project mayhem, we wish you the happiest of holidays! See you in the Winter of 2010!

The Fall is in our Future August 5, 2009
Posted by activity in : Hot Spot , add a commentSummer seems to be quickly slipping by, as summers have the tendency to do, and we are very much on the brink of falling into fall. The Student Involvement Office in Savannah is welcoming many new beautiful faces, as is the SAC board. Adrienne Kay, originally from Michigan, will be serving as the new SAC and SOS adviser. Moreover, SAC is also excited about the new Pop Culture Coordinator, Rachel Clarke, and the new Publicity Man, Vince Salpietro.
I am absolutely ecstatic to announce that Fall Quarter is planned and we are ready, set, to go! Even more exciting are the three bands that will be performing at this year’s Fall Fest! Everyone should check out Tommy & The High Pilots, The Four Kicks, and Skinny now - so that come September, you can sing along to the words while everyone celebrates a new season and new beginings!
Enjoy your summer!
