Julie Chen Comes to ACA Library of SCAD!
Book artist Julie Chen is coming to SCAD- Atlanta March 26th to present a workshop and lecture in the ACA Library. Chen is well known for her exquisitely crafted artists’ books of which the ACA Library owns two. One of the works, Full Circle, explores the human phenomenon of belief in its many forms and phases. Full Circle is enclosed in a flawless, hand-made box that is covered in raw silk. Removing the lid exposes a wheel and several small drawers. It has the appearance of an elaborate and mysterious board game. The complexity of the ideas Chen explores combined with the intricacy of the work’s structure yields a very satisfying experience for the viewer.

It is free and open to the public. To receive more information or see Full Circle and other works by Julie Chen email mmurphy@scad.edu.
