Louvre Collections Online

Would you like to see the collections at the Musee du Louvre, but you can’t make it to France this summer? You can still view some of the Louvre’s greatest treasures from home. The Louvre’s databases make available online a variety of masterpieces, including British, French, and American art. The Atlas database, which contains 35,000 works, was recently made available in English.

Art in the White House

According to a recent post in The Wall Street Journal, the Obamas are changing the art in the White House. Choosing art for the White House is the prerogative of every first couple, and the Obamas are choosing more modern art than previous presidents. The Obamas are also choosing work by diverse groups of artists.
